Mission
At Newton Education Center, we strive to provide a supportive and stimulating environment where each child discovers his/her own area of giftedness while achieving maximum growth in all aspects. We not only help students achieve academic excellence, but also encourage them to learn independently and think critically. We motivate students to be lifelong learners. Besides, we emphasize “character building”—teamwork, responsibility, personal accountability, self-esteem and mutual respect. Newton is a place where imaginations are ignited and dreams take flight.
Programs
In the tutoring and after-school programs, each student will have a free diagnostic test to determine his/her starting level. Then an individual learning plan will be devised and implemented.
Tutoring Services
Newton Education Center provides tutoring services for K-12 students on Math, English, and other subjects that have been covered in California schools through classroom lectures. Each student will be placed into an appropriate starting grade level according to his/her educational background, and will be given two 1-hour lectures a week (please see class schedules). The students will be well prepared for school challenges with improved self-confidence, skills, and strategies through our high quality tutoring classes. They will also learn to improve their abilities of independent studies which will help them to become lifelong learners.

After-school Program
Newton Education Center also provides after-school program for K-12 students. The first objective of the after-school program is to help students with their school homework. Upon the finish of homework, each student will be given additional worksheets according to his/her individual learning plan to strength his/her academic background.
